AUSTIN – The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has published the dates and locations for the 2024 season of the Texas Conference for Employers (TCE), with the first event scheduled in February.

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has awarded $50,000 to Workforce Solutions for South Texas through a Child Care Employment Connections Award. This performance-based award recognizes local workforce development boards (Boards) for their work in connecting at-risk parents with sufficient employment.

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has awarded a total of $175,000 to Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) and Workforce Solutions Capital Area (WSCA) through Child Care Employment Connections Awards. This performance-based award recognizes local workforce development boards (Boards) for their work in connecting at-risk parents with sufficient employment.

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has awarded Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent and local partners a $150,000 High Demand Job Training (HDJT) grant to prepare area workers for long-term, high-demand careers. 

The Texas labor market reached historic highs in 2023, breaking records in employment growth and civilian labor force. In December, the state’s seasonally adjusted job count reached 14,103,300 jobs, an increase of 19,100 over the month—marking 27 consecutive months of new series employment highs.

AUSTIN – The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has launched a new mobile app to help Texans explore potential career pathways and discover step-by-step resources to achieve their goals. With the launch of MyTXCareer app, job seekers can now find personalized occupation matches and recommended career paths based on their skills, interests, and experience.

Texas’ labor market achieved a new record high as the state’s seasonally adjusted job count reached 14,094,900, an increase of 26,800 positions over the month of November.
